If you are working with an Organization who is using Huntr to help you find a job (Bootcamp, University, Outplacement Company, Career Coach, etc), they may have set one or multiple goals for you to meet. If so, keep reading to learn how to complete the goals that the Organization has set for you.

Once the organization has enrolled you into a goal, you will be able to view the goals you’re enrolled for through your account. There’s a few ways you can log progress towards a goal, these ways depend on the goal’s entity type.

Completing activity based goals

There’s three ways to log progress towards an activity based goal.

  1. Go to the Goals section and click the purple + button beside the goal. This will open an activity creation modal where you will be able to enter all the details of the activity. The modal will be pre-filled with the appropriate activity category for the goal.
  2. Log a new activity through your Huntr board and check it off as completed. As long as the selected activity category matches the category that the goal expects, then the newly created activity will count towards the goal.
  3. If there’s an existing workflow that automatically creates a new activity when you save or move a job into a board stage, and that activity matches the activity category that the goal expects, then the activity created by the workflow will count towards the goal. A typical example of this is having a workflow that automatically logs an Apply activity when a job is moved to the Applied stage. If you then have a goal that requires 10 Apply activities per week, then you will be able to complete that goal by dragging 10 jobs into your board’s Applied stage each week.

In summary, activity based goals don’t care about how an activity is created (from a board, by a workflow or through the goals section), as long as the activity is marked as completed and the activity category matches that of the goal, then it will count towards the goal’s progress.

Completing job based goals

Job based goals are completed by saving a certain number of job opportunities into Huntr within a specific time frame. You can save jobs through the Huntr chrome extension, mobile app, web application or your organization’s Job Portal; regardless of how they are sourced all saved jobs will count towards the goal.

Completing contact based goals

Contact based goals are completed by saving a certain number of contacts into Huntr within a specific time frame. You can save contacts for a specific job, in a board or through the global contacts view; regardless of how a contact is saved it will count towards the goal.
